Terms and Conditions for Kingston Carpetcleaning Services

Carpet cleaning equipment and service introduction for Kingston CarpetcleaningThese Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Kingston Carpetcleaning provides carpet cleaning and related services to domestic and commercial customers in the United Kingdom. By making a booking, the customer agrees to be bound by these terms, which are designed to make the service clear, fair, and practical for both parties. They apply to all standard carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, stain treatment, odour removal, and similar cleaning work supplied under the Kingston carpet cleaning service name, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

In these Terms and Conditions, references to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the service provider trading as Kingston Carpetcleaning, and references to “you” or “the customer” mean the person or business requesting the service. These terms are intended to cover the full service relationship, from initial booking through to completion and payment, including circumstances where access is delayed, materials must be moved, or work cannot be completed as originally planned. We recommend that customers read this document carefully before confirming a booking.

1. Booking Process

All bookings for carpet cleaning in Kingston or any related cleaning service are subject to availability and acceptance by us. A booking may be made by telephone, email, online enquiry, or any other method that we make available from time to time. A booking is not confirmed until we have accepted it and, where required, received any deposit or advance payment. We may request information about the size of the area to be cleaned, the type of flooring or fabric, access conditions, parking arrangements, and any special issues such as pet stains, heavy soiling, or previous treatments.

Customer booking and service arrangement for Kingston carpet cleaningWhen you request a Kingston carpet cleaning service, you must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. This includes details that may affect the price, equipment required, drying time, or expected outcome. If the information supplied is incomplete or incorrect, we reserve the right to revise the quotation, adjust the schedule, or decline the job where performance would be unsafe or impractical. Any estimated time given for attendance or completion is approximate and may vary due to traffic, earlier work overruns, access issues, or other factors beyond our reasonable control.

If a site inspection is needed before work begins, any estimate provided before inspection is provisional. The final scope of work may be confirmed on arrival once the condition of the items and the surrounding areas has been assessed. We may refuse to proceed with any service if we consider that the condition of the carpet, upholstery, or premises creates a risk of damage, health concerns, or inadequate results. In such cases, we will explain the reason for refusal where reasonably possible.

It is your responsibility to ensure that someone authorised to make decisions is present at the property or otherwise available at the agreed time. You must also ensure that access is available to the areas requiring cleaning, including suitable entry, electricity, and water if necessary. Where parking permits, lift access, or building permissions are required, these should be arranged in advance by the customer unless we have expressly agreed to handle them.

2. Prices and Payments

The price for our carpet cleaning Kingston services will usually be based on the quotation provided before the work starts, or on the agreed rate communicated at the time of booking. All prices are stated in pounds sterling unless otherwise indicated. Unless we agree in writing, quotations are valid for a limited period only and may be subject to change if the scope of the work changes, access becomes more difficult, or the condition of the items differs materially from the information supplied during booking. Any extra work requested on site may be charged separately.

Payment is due in full on completion of the service unless we have agreed credit terms in writing in advance. We may require a deposit for larger bookings, repeat visits, or commercial work. Accepted payment methods may include bank transfer, card payment, cash, or other methods notified to you at the time of booking. If payment is not received when due, we may charge reasonable recovery costs and interest in accordance with applicable UK law. Title to any goods supplied by us, if applicable, will remain with us until paid for in full.

Professional carpet cleaning process and payment terms overview3. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Waiting Time

You may cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking by giving us reasonable notice. Unless a different notice period is stated at booking, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for domestic work and as much notice as possible for larger or commercial appointments. If you cancel too late, fail to provide access, or are not ready for the service at the agreed time, we may charge a cancellation fee or call-out fee to cover lost time and costs. Any deposit paid may be retained in whole or part where a late cancellation occurs.

If we need to cancel or reschedule due to illness, equipment failure, unsafe conditions, severe weather, traffic disruption, or other circumstances outside our control, we will use reasonable efforts to offer an alternative appointment. We will not be liable for indirect losses resulting from such changes, but we will aim to notify you as soon as reasonably practicable. If our team arrives and cannot begin work because the property is inaccessible, unsafe, or not adequately prepared, any waiting time beyond a reasonable period may be charged at our standard rate.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Before the Kingston carpet cleaning service begins, you must remove fragile items, valuables, money, jewellery, documents, and personal belongings from the work area. We may move lightweight furniture where reasonably practical, but we are not obliged to move heavy, fixed, delicate, or hazardous items. You should advise us in advance of any items that are particularly valuable, unstable, or sensitive to moisture, heat, or cleaning products.

You are responsible for advising us of any known stains, prior damage, pre-existing wear, loose seams, colour sensitivity, underlay problems, damp, mould, pet contamination, or other conditions that may affect cleaning outcomes. Where special risks are present, we may ask you to sign acceptance of the likely limitations or proceed only on the basis of your explicit instruction. We are entitled to rely on the information provided by you unless it is obviously inaccurate or incomplete.

You must ensure that children and pets are kept away from the work area while we are on site and for as long as necessary afterwards, particularly where cleaning agents, damp surfaces, or equipment may create a hazard. Any failure to comply with these responsibilities may reduce our liability to the extent permitted by law.

5. Service Standards and Limitations

We will carry out our carpet cleaning UK services with reasonable skill and care, using methods and products that we consider suitable for the type and condition of the fabric or flooring. However, cleaning outcomes can vary depending on the age of the item, the fibre type, previous treatment, the severity of staining, and environmental conditions. While we aim to achieve a high standard, we do not guarantee the removal of every stain, odour, mark, or trace of wear, especially where damage is permanent or has been present for a long time.

Some materials and finishes may be at greater risk of shrinkage, colour bleed, distortion, or texture change when cleaned. Where we believe there is a significant risk, we may decline to clean the item, offer an alternative method, or proceed only after explaining the possible consequences. If you ask us to continue despite a warning, you accept the associated risk to the extent permitted by law. We may also refuse to use products or methods that are unsuitable, unavailable, or unsafe.

Drying times are approximate and depend on airflow, humidity, temperature, cleaning method, and the level of soiling. We are not responsible for delays in drying that result from poor ventilation, continued use of the cleaned area, or environmental conditions outside our control. It is your responsibility to keep the area ventilated and to follow any aftercare advice we provide verbally or in writing.

Liability, access, and property care during carpet cleaning service6. Liability and Insurance

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law. Subject to that, our liability for loss or damage arising from the services will be limited to the price paid or payable for the specific job giving rise to the claim, except where a greater limit is required by law.

We will not be liable for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, deterioration caused by age, poor maintenance, manufacturing faults, or damage caused by items left in the work area. We are also not responsible for loss or damage resulting from your failure to disclose relevant information, your failure to follow our instructions, or the use of unsuitable cleaning products or methods requested by you against our advice. Any claim relating to apparent damage must be reported to us as soon as reasonably practicable and, in any event, before the area has been extensively used or altered after completion.

If we are found to be responsible for any damage, our obligation may, at our option, be limited to repair, re-cleaning, replacement of the affected item, or payment of a reasonable amount reflecting the direct loss suffered, subject to the overall liability cap above. We do not accept responsibility for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of business, loss of profit, missed appointments, or inconvenience, unless such exclusion is prohibited by law.

7. Access, Property, and Safety

You must provide safe and reasonable access to the premises and the work areas. We may suspend or refuse work if we believe that the property is unsafe, if electrical or water supplies are unsuitable, or if the area contains hazards such as exposed wiring, aggressive animals, severe damp, or dangerous waste. Where access is delayed by factors beyond our control, we may charge for additional time or treat the booking as cancelled if the delay prevents us from performing the service within a reasonable period.

We will take reasonable care while working in your property, but you acknowledge that carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning involve water, suction, and cleaning agents, which may create short-term inconvenience such as noise, dampness, or temporary rearrangement of furniture. We are not liable for minor cosmetic effects that are an ordinary and unavoidable consequence of the service, provided the work has been carried out with reasonable skill and care.

Any items removed or moved by us should be returned by you to their original position only after surfaces are dry and safe. We are not responsible for damage caused by replacing items too early, using the area before it is dry, or placing heavy furniture on damp flooring. If you request us to assist with moving items, that assistance is provided at your risk unless separate written arrangements state otherwise.

8. Waste, Disposal, and Environmental Compliance

We will manage waste arising from the service in accordance with applicable UK waste regulations and environmental obligations. Waste may include used pads, filters, disposable materials, removed debris, or small quantities of residue collected during cleaning. Where waste is created by the service, we will dispose of it lawfully and responsibly, taking reasonable steps to avoid pollution and unnecessary environmental harm. We may decline to remove certain materials if they are hazardous, regulated, or require specialist handling.

Where the work involves the removal of items that are contaminated beyond normal domestic waste standards, you must tell us in advance. This includes waste contaminated by bodily fluids, mould, chemical residues, pests, asbestos, sharps, or other potentially hazardous substances. We are not licensed to handle all types of specialist waste, and in such cases we may suspend the work and advise that a specialist contractor is required. You remain responsible for disclosing hazardous conditions and for any lawful disposal obligations that apply to you as owner or occupier.

Any cleaning chemicals supplied by us remain our responsibility until properly used or disposed of by us in line with applicable regulations. You must not reuse, dilute, or store our products without permission. Where empty containers or packaging are left on site, they should be handled and disposed of in accordance with local recycling and waste rules. We may retain the right to collect items or materials that we consider unsafe, contaminated, or unsuitable for ordinary disposal.

Waste compliance and governing law for Kingston Carpetcleaning terms9. Complaints and Remedies

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, you should notify us within a reasonable time after completion and before the area is substantially altered. We may ask for photographs, details of the issue, and an opportunity to inspect the work. Where the complaint is valid and relates to our failure to use reasonable skill and care, we may offer a re-clean, another appropriate remedy, or a partial refund, depending on the circumstances. This does not affect your statutory rights.

We will investigate complaints fairly and aim to resolve matters promptly. However, we are not obliged to provide a remedy where the issue results from pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, customer instructions, or conditions outside our control. If a stain or mark reappears after cleaning due to wick-back, residue migration, or hidden contamination, we will assess the issue in context and determine whether a further treatment is appropriate. Any remedy offered will be a practical response rather than a promise of perfect results.

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking will normally apply to that booking unless a later written agreement states otherwise. If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. No failure or delay by us in enforcing a right will operate as a waiver of that right.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the services supplied by Kingston Carpetcleaning, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Where the customer is based in Scotland or Northern Ireland, mandatory local consumer protections may still apply where required by law, but the governing law for the contract itself remains as stated in this clause unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Any dispute should first be raised with us so that we can attempt to resolve it amicably. If a matter cannot be resolved informally, the parties may seek the assistance of the courts with appropriate jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms prevents either party from relying on any mandatory statutory rights or remedies available under UK consumer law or business law, as applicable.

Liability, access, and property care during carpet cleaning serviceThese terms are intended to provide clarity for customers using a professional Kingston carpet cleaning service and to protect both sides from misunderstandings. By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the terms governing the provision of the service, payment, cancellation, risk, and liability.
